Hello there,

I was born in Budapest, Hungary, as the daughter of a mathematics-physics professor father and a pianist mother whose background is in old Hungarian aristocracy. I have a great brother and I loved my grandparents, as they were my second set of parents.

At 6 years old I became a member of the world famous Hungarian Radio and TV Children's Choir. I was one of their instrumental soloists. I traveled the world and played on many LPs and concerts as a child professional violin player and a singer. We all went to the same elementary school, but because of our constant traveling and recordings we had to satisfy academic expectations at a much faster pace.

When I was 14, I was accepted to the Fazekas Mihaly Gymnasium. This high school is still one of the most prestigious secondary schools in the country. It was known as the "race stable" as every single serious competition in arts and science in Hungary was won by someone who was a student of this school. I won several myself in acting and literature. Unfortunately, school didn't leave me enough time to practice the violin on a professional level so I put down the instrument and gave in to my new loves: dancing, acting and singing. I also worked as a fashion model on the side with my parents supervision. I graduated from high school with a straight A average.

I participated in a 2 year program and received my certificate as a professional dancer at 19, This gave me the opportunity to try out in theaters. I got my first show in a couple of weeks and I was the proud member of the Vidam Theater with a 2 year contract in my pocket. Within a relatively short period of time I was given bigger and better roles. I was also taking classical voice classes and began to sing opera. It was easy since my Mom who still is an excellent classical coach helped me a lot. I got lucky appearing in many TV shows as well as participating in 40 performances a month at my theater. With many new and exiting gigs on the side I was considered a successful up and coming performer.

However, my father still believed in my brain power and was not happy about this "jumping around on stage". Since I adore and cherish him more than anything, I promised him that I would get a "real diploma". Holding true to my word I went to Teacher's College and received a diploma as a school teacher. It was quite challenging to balance my life at college with my busy carrier in theater. After a great deal of juggling I did receive my diploma in education with "Cum Laude" in 1988.

Thanks, Daddy: I have fallen back on teaching many times, I was teaching jazz dance for kids, fitness for adults, ESL and musical theater /on camera acting for 6-12 year olds at JCC on the Palisades.

I left Hungary in 1989 when the Iron Curtain opened and got a scholarship at the Hochschule fur Music und Darstellende Kunst in Vienna / Voice Program. After landing a job at La Scala in Milan, I drifted more towards musical theater and acting. In late 1993 I was in NYC and just for the fun of it I auditioned for the American Musical and Dramatic Academy. They offered me a scholarship and I completed the Musical Theatre Program. I began to work in the US in 1995-96.

So here I am today. The rest is on my resume. Thank you for having me here in the States. Thank you for trusting me and liking me. I am grateful for all the great opportunities this country has given me in the past and I am hoping for many more interesting challenges, beautiful friends and fun opportunities in the future.
